Most of you have read our DVN profile reports on Automotive Lighting, Hella, Koito, Valeo, and ZKW. Today we’re excited to present our first detailed study of an American lighting company: J.W. Speaker Corporation, delivering a broad range of unique high-tech lights—with virtually 100% in-house content and production—for a constellation of applications in a wide range of on- and off-road vehicles and equipment.
Our report illustrates the history, major milestones, strategic philosophy, organisation, capabilities, activities, and products of this third-generation family-owned company. There’s an in-depth interview with the company’s top executives, and plenty of photos. Don’t miss the “teaser” description of Speaker’s forthcoming adaptive motorcycle headlamps, to be presented in detail next month at the DVN Workshop.
All of us on the DVN team wish you our heartiest wishes for relaxing holidays and a productive start to the new year.
The DVN Workshop in Rochester, Michigan is full and registrations are now closed; we’re looking forward to seeing over 200 attendees there.
Sincerely yours
DVN Editor in Chief
