Most of you are now back from Summer holidays—except maybe in North America where that’s not a thing. However you spent your vacation, I hope you had a grand time.
Let’s hit the ground running; take note of three important events coming soon.
- First is the 120th Mondial Paris Autoshow from 4 to 14 October, where new car debuts will include such models as Audi’s A1 Sportback and Q3, the BMW 3 Series and X5, the DS 3 Crossback E-Tense, Guangzhou Auto’s GAC A10, Hyundai’s i30 Fastback N, the Kia Ceed Shooting Brake, a new Mercedes A-Class sedan, the Peugeot 508 wagon/estate, Renault’s Megane RS Trophy, the Seat Tarraco, Škoda’s Karoq Scout and Kodiaq RS, and more!
- During the timeframe of Mondial, there’ll be the VISION congress 9 to 10 October at the Cité des Sciences in Paris, one of the main location for technologies. Most of you already know VISION is alongside ISAL and DVN Workshops as the most important events for the automotive lighting community.
- Then on 19–20 November comes the first DVN Conference on lidar, assembling the world’s top experts in the lidar and lighting fields to start talking and listening with one another as those two fields converge. There’ll be expo booths, an interesting keynote speech, and panel disussions as well as three lecture sessions on lidar technologies, lidar integration in headlamps, and market challenges and opportunities, simulation and testing.
Vacation was lovely, and now we come back to our challenges renewed and refreshed.
I wish you, as always, ever-increasing success in your job.
Sincerely yours
DVN President
