DVN’s first workshop—indeed, the first known event of its kind—in Korea was another in an unbroken sequence of productive, successful, increasingly popular events. Once again, a new Workshop attendance record was set: 200 people were present, from 70 companies and from 16 countries.
What do we retain of the Korean workshop one week later?
• Strong involvement by Korean companies Hyundai Motors, Hyundai Mobis, SL Corp, Seoul Semiconductor and LG Innotek. True, five is not a large number of Korean companies, but fully over 100 Korean colleagues from 20 different Korean companies attended and participated;
• A great range of display booths, many at a very high level, including Osram, Philips, Seoul Semiconductor, and LG Innotek, and the delightful Hyundai Genesis with its wonderful rear lights and its innovative front end including the LED DRLs and fog lamps;
• Interesting, engaging lectures by Audi and Hyundai Motors.
• The round table panel discussions—a popular feature of DVN Workshops—brought interesting discussion and debate among automakers, set makers, light source suppliers and tier-2s, regulators, and academics.
Preparation for the Workshop was a long, steep, and complicated job for all the DVN team, but positive feedback has been coming in steadily, and in the end we are humbly proud of such great success.
Watch for our information, this week and forthcoming, covering the Seoul Workshop.
Sincerely yours
DVN Editor in Chief
