In the next two days, Driving Vision News will engage Tier 2 suppliers about their capacity to contribute developing automotive lighting innovations, well aligned with the OEM needs and development roadmaps. This third DVN Workshop represents an opportunity for leading car makers and Tier 1 global lighting suppliers to challenge Tier 2 suppliers and identify innovation tasks for the lighting tiers to develop.
10 carmakers, 10 Tier-1 lighting suppliers, 28 Tier-2 suppliers, and 3 organisations—all active DVN Gold Members—have confirmed the attendance of 80 of their highest rank experts and managers.
Beside car makers and Tier 1 lighting suppliers, all core businesses involving cutting-edge Tier 2 suppliers of light sources, electronics, components, software, engineering, materials, and test equipment will be involved.
In the morning, lectures will be presented by Audi, Ford, PSA, Renault and lighting suppliers AL, Hella, Valeo, and Visteon about their outlook on lighting 2011-2020 and their expectations from suppliers.
In the afternoon, 7 round tables—each gathering 10 lighting players—will focus on a particular core business and allow free exchange between suppliers and their potential customers.
On the evening before the workshop, DVN will present the “2010 DVN lighting winners” during a typical French buffet in a wonderful place close to the Eiffel Tower.
Sincerely yours
Hector Fratty
