DVN started at the beginning of 2008 with very small ambition. I was alone and in the beginning, it was a little dubious—or maybe a lot dubious.
Week upon week, feedback from readers amplified and with the success of subscriptions help came from first Burkhard Wordenweber during few months, then Canadian lighting expert Daniel Stern came on board, and today our team includes Clemence Benoit, Salomon Berner, Eric Nowak, and an assistant…. and spontaneous worldwide lighting experts.
So…what is the result after a little less than 3 years?
• 150 newsletters sent each and every week without interruption
• 40 reports on companies, technologies, motor shows, and congresses
• A new website presenting all needed information
• Two workshops gathering most of the European experts
• A lighting and DA community growing stronger and more communicative
So now we set our sights on the future: we’re looking forward to a fantastic year for DVN and for that I need your help. Please take a few moments to send in your wishes and thoughts on more than 20 proposed reports on lighting in the fast-growing automotive markets of India, Brazil, Russia, and Turkey; on motor shows in Detroit, Geneva, and Frankfurt; on technical congresses: IQPC, Haus Der Technik, SAE, and ISAL; on companies like Mercedes, VW, Opel, Renault, and Visteon, on technologies like pedestrian protection, lighting simulation, projector modules, sensors and actuators, and on regulatory philosophy, development, and harmonisation. To make it happen, we really need your help. Join in and be active with DVN. Select your reports and tell us what reports you’d like to read. Our ongoing mission is to answer your needs, the needs of all DVN members. Onward and upward!
