The next VISION congress will be held next October 9th and 10th, during the Mondial Motor Show in Paris, and the scientific committee convened last week with the target to select the best lectures. VISION organizators received a total of 108 abstracts, 84 on lighting and 25 on ADAS. Most of them were at a very high level, so a great deal of discussion was needed to pick out 33 lectures. A large, diverse group of submitters included universities and institutes such as TU Darmstadt, Fraunhoffer, and L-Lab in Germany; the RPI LRC in America; ELS in France; automakers including Audi, BMW, PSA, and Renault; most of the big set and light source makers, and ADAS suppliers such as Bosch, Continental, Infineon, and Valeo. An important decision was also taken about an expert panel discussion to discuss coöperation between lighting and ADAS.
After the lectures on October 9th, the expected 650 VISION attendees will be in four groups:
- 240 attendees will participate in the night drives at Mortefontaine
- 150-200 will visit the wonderful museum of the Cité des Sciences
- 150-200 will tour Paris by night a on a special boat on the canal de L’Ourcq and the river Seine.
- The remaining attendees will have free time to enjoy Paris on their own terms.
Sincerely yours
DVN President
