The DVN Workshop last month in the United States was a grand success—see the virtual slide show in this week’s news, plus watch for coverage in the forthcoming DVN Report. And now we’ve turned our attention to the next Workshop, fifteenth in an unbroken string of ever-bigger workshops, to be held in Shanghai on the 25th and 26th of this April. It’s going to be an exceptional event, held at the Marriott Shanghai Parkview luxury hotel during the Shanghai Auto Show.
The rubric for this, our third Workshop in Shanghai, is Lighting innovations focused on styling, standardisation, safety, & regulatory affairs: toward simplification. These are hot topics right now, particularly as China moves to synchronise their national standards with UN Regulations, which themselves are undergoing a massive restructuring, all amidst renewed international interest in coördinated, appropriate rules for new technologies and techniques arriving at a pace too fast for old-fashioned regulatory approaches.
The Shanghai Workshop will bring together over 350 participants—that’s another record!—from all over the world, involved in lighting. There’ll be directors, managers, experts, researchers, regulators, and technicians; the docket’s loaded with exceptional speakers and presenters from across the global Driving Vision News community. We’ll bring 20 lectures from automakers and tier-1 and -2 lighting suppliers, including presentations from international and Chinese lighting experts. Superlative contributions are expected from Audi, Great Wall, Mercedes, Nissan, SAIC-VW; AL, Hella, Shanghai Koito, Stanley, Valeo, Varroc, Xingyu, ZKW; Nichia, Osram and Lumileds.
DVN Workshops represent a unique and proven opportunity to exhibit, display, and promote your company’s lighting and ADAS products and services. Expo booth space is filling up fast; you’ll want to reserve yours immediately. Find more information in the downloadable 2017 Shanghai Workshop flyer.
See you in Shanghai,
DVN President
