At the DVN Delhi workshop, Lumax-Stanley Deputy General Manager Hamid Pourkhataei gave an interesting lecture on a affordable bifunction headlamp.
He started by presenting Lumax-Stanley, a lighting joint venture focused on the Indian automative lighting market. They are the top automotive lighting company in India with sales turnover of USD $168m and around 1,700 employees. Pictured here is one of their series-production headlamps.
The speaker presented a design concept of a bi-function LED unit with design goals of small size, light weight, low power consumption, and a 2000-lumen light source giving strong beam performance.
