A lot of new models, production and concept cars, are being presented at IAA, the Frankfurt 2016 motor show, as this goes live. Lighting continues to play a central role in the evolution of automotive design and function. Several models give a good preview of coming trends:
Audi’s e-tron quattro concept with the main front lighting functions using matrix laser technology and a distinctive lighting signature comprising 5 lighting elements
combining LED/OLED showing a possible future of matrix OLED technology. The rear lights also features nine red OLED units for the tail light function.
