Last week’s DVN Workshop, at the Shanghai International Hotel in Puxi, was a grand success—the latest in an unbroken chain of each Workshop exceeding the attendance of the previous one. I thank all the active participants including session chairs Rainer Neumann, Wolfgang Huhn, François Bedu, Geoff Draper, Claus Allgeier, and Michael Meyer; all 27 of the speakers, and all the exhibitors who presented wonderful cutting edge technologies.
This event was focused on “Innovation in Lighting: Safety and styling” and brought together 330 worldwide attendees involved in lighting, from 20 car makers, 20 set makers, 37 Tier-2s and 10 organisations and universities during six sessions spread over two days, with a majority of Chinese attendance: directors, managers, experts, researchers and technicians.
The Shanghai workshop, sponsored by leaders in their own field like Automotive Lighting, Hella, Mobis, Valeo, Varroc/TYC, Lumileds, Osram, Seoul Semiconductor, Everlight, AML Systems, LMT, Mentor Graphics, Optis, Synopsys, Docter Optics, Bicomoptics, NXP, and Keboda offered an exhibition area of more than 500 m2 full of expo booths of international and Chinese companies next to the main conference room.
The whole DVN team worked very hard to pull this event together, and now it’s over we are proud of the success of the Workshop. Early feedback coming in day upon day suggests a very high level of satisfaction among attendees. We’re already in the early stages of planning the next Workshop—stay tuned!
Sincerely yours
DVN Editor in Chief
