As you read this, 220 experts and lighting managers from 73 companies are gathering at the Paris DVN workshop. It got under way yesterday evening with a dinner followed by an award ceremony.
There are:
– 50 attendees from 19 OEMs: Audi, Bentley, BMW, Changan, Chery, Daimler, Fiat, Ford, Haitec-Yulon, Hyundai, Jaguar Land-Rover, Opel, PSA, Renault, SEAT, Skoda, SVW, Toyota, and Volkswagen.
– 60 attendees from 17 set makers: AL, Continental, Denso, Elba, Farba, Hella, JW Speaker, Koito, Mobis, Olsa, Oshino Lamps, SL Corp, Stanley , Valeo, Varroc Lighting Systems, ZKW, Zodiac-Aerospace.
– 112 attendees from 48 Tier 2 lighting suppliers, universities, regulation organizations, and labs.
Participants have come from 19 countries on three continents.
The Workshop is off to a great start under the theme “Future of Automotive Lighting. Our community’s best experts are giving high-level presentations and exhibits to an audience with a lot of senior experts and managers. All the conditions are in place to spend a fruitful day.
At the awards ceremony after dinner last night, Rainer Neumann was named DVN’s Personnality of the Year for 2013. In this week’s news you’ll find his expert predictions on the future of automotive lighting.
