There was a particularly warm welcome to the delegations from China and Taiwan who were actively participating for the first time since their memberships were confirmed by the GTB General Assembly in April 2013. In the opening words of welcome to this 115 th session the significance of these two new memberships, which lead to greater mutual understanding of the international regulatory scene and towards a new era of cooperation to achieve harmonisation of the technical requirements, was recognised. GTB now has 19 member associations representing Austria, Belgium, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, IMMA, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Poland, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, UK and USA.
