Bruno Dussert-Vidalet with OLED panels |
Bruno Dussert-Vidalet, Astron-Fiamm’s CEO, started the journey toward his present position at an electronics school in Paris (ISEP) with a specialisation in image processing. After 4 years’ work in the defence industry he migrated to the automotive industry. His first position was to manage innovation for Philips car system in Rambouillet for Renault as specific customer. Mergers and acquisitions led him to work for Siemens VDO and to create with three other managers a software site in Sofia Antipolis dedicated to the new generation of car navigation for BMW (introduced in the BMW 5er).
During this period he earned an executive MBA at HEC in Paris. Then the Fiamm group, a Tier 1 supplier of horns, antennas and batteries, asked him to manage innovation for them. He held this position for 5 years, based in Italy. In 2007 he created Astron Fiamm with Alessandro Dolcetta. The clear and unique objective was to develop OLED technology for the transportation industry in all related aspects: performances, technology roadmap, industrial tools and application engineering.
From 2007, He is now managing the operations of Astron Fiamm creating a general lighting brand BLACKBODY, focusing a team on OLED technology.
I sat down with Bruno to get his thoughts and comments:
