AL organised last Friday a very emotional farewell for Michael Hamm, who after 16 years with the lighting supplier is headed over to Audi. All his team and his colleagues were present and toasted the Dr. Hamm’s 16 highly productive and innovative years spent at Reutlingen. Reproductions of all the awards AL got by dint of Hamm’s work were presented, as well as a technical painting, emphasising when lit by LEDs the profile of his face, a 100-year-old headlamp replacing acetylene light source by Xenon, and others. The most emotional moment was when at the end, one of his colleagues offered him a tee-shirt with all his main achievements year by year, which technologies were developed and patents filed.
He really was the main man of AL during his tenure there, and we look forward to seeing more great things from him at his new position with Audi.
Michael will start at Audi in next month as “Head of Audi Headlamp Development” .
DVN present him all their wishes for a great success. We have no doubt on this success.
