2011’s IAA Frankfort Auto Show closed 2 days ago and DVN are proud to publish their report on the event. IAA was very different from the 2010 and 2009 shows. More than during the 2010 Mondial in Paris, the products shown and the luxurious exhibition booths emphasised a renewed optimism this year with a welcome return of some dreamy concept and exciting production cars.
Concept cars with the most innovative lighting include : the Audi A2 concept, Mercedes-Benz F125, BMW i3 and i8, Alfa Romeo 4C, Citroën Tubik, Ford’s striking Evos, Peugeot’s HX1 and 508xxx, Hyundai’s CUR3, Renault’s Frendzy, Volvo’s Concept You, Seat’s IBL, Toyota’s second-generation FX-86 concept, Chevrolet’s Miray, Kia’s GT, SsangYong’s X1V, Subaru’s BRZ, and Mitsubishi’s PX-MiEV.
Production cars with the most innovative lighting include :
Audi’s Q3 and A5, BMW’s 1er, Mercedes-Benz’ reworked M- and B-Class, the Porsche 911, Renault Twingo facelift, Citroën’s DS5, Fiat’s Panda, the Honda Civic, the Hyundai i30, the Kia Rio, Mazda’s CX65, Opel’s Zafira and Ampera, Toyota’s Yaris, and the new VW Beetle.
It was a wonderful show which highlights the return of dream cars with the confirmation of the enormous styling differentiation possibilities offered by LED technology
