IAA, th e ”Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung” also known as the Frankfurt Motor Show or Frankfurt Auto Show , is one of the world's largest. It is held biennially in Frankfurt, Germany, organised by the Association of the German Automotive Industry (VDA). Since 1991 the show is split in two: Even-numbered years show commercial vehicles in Hanover and odd-numbered years passenger vehicles (including motorcycles) in Frankfurt.
The show is scheduled by OICA, the Organisation Internationale des Constructeurs d'Automobiles (International Organization of Automakers). IAA is a widespread show for the automotive industry. This year the show will take place for the 64th time, 15 – 25 September (Trade days September 15 and 16). 900 exhibitors will present their latest products, among them 75 OEMs.
The show attracts manufacturers & users of vehicles with a wide array of passenger cars, special vehicles, trailers, equipment for workshops, parts and accessories. Around one million visitors and over 2,000 exhibitors from all over the world will be involved.
There have been more than 400 automobile brands in Germany over the years. The exhibition “125 Jahre Automobil” presents a selection of these and invites visitors to a tour of history of the German automotive industry.
Visitors will have the chance to get a uniquely encompassing overview on all aspects of electromobility so that they may swap with exhibitors ideas on possibilities of this cutting-edge technology. Suppliers and vehicle manufacturers present pioneering and eco-friendly innovations from small system elements through to complete vehicles focusing on the electric drive.
