Japan’s automotive industry is very strong, with a global vehicle market share of 29%—far ahead of American (18%) or German makers (16%). Toyota are tops in capitalisation value; the Renault-Nissan Alliance is № 1 in the world for quantity of vehicles produced, and that’s on top of Honda, Suzuki, Isuzu, Mazda, and Subaru. For lighting specifically, Japanese set makers command about 35% of the worldwide market. Koito are the worldwide leader with 22% market share in value; Stanley and Ichikoh are the other two of the Japanese Big 3.
