Chinese innovation is surging in ADAS camera sensors. Front- and surround-view systems continue to spread across mainstream vehicle segments, RGB cameras are central items in ADAS perception stacks, and China’s makers are rapidly moving from followers to leaders in the field. Sunny Smartlead is edging ahead of Bosch in front-view camera installations in China, for example, and BYD’s event-based cameras are moving beyond research and niche robotics into serious automotive evaluation, driven by their potential for ultra-low latency, fast-motion detection and robustness in challenging lighting conditions.
