Piseo is a centre of expertise specialised in the integration of photonic technologies (LED, VCSEL, laser diodes, detectors, image sensors, phosphors, optical materials, and suchlike) and their applications. The company, located in Lyon, France, is rooted in the general lighting industry.
The company was created in 2011 from an initiative of the association Cluster Lumière, CEA-LETI, and Yole Développement, with financial support of the French State, the Auvergne Rhône Alpes Region and Grand Lyon metropolis, and 30 shareholders—mainly industrial companies—who allowed for an investment of €3.6m over 3 years’ time.
