SIA’s VISION congress for 2018 is set to be the best-ever version, an action-packed extravaganza of lighting and ADAS technology and technique. New LEDs, lasers, ADB systems, LCD, DMD, microöptics, new lighting signals conceived for autonomous vehicles, the latest evolutionary stages of cameras, lidars, radars, and more will be presented on 9–10 October at the Cité des Sciences in Paris. There’ll be around 33 lectures, a panel discussion gathering international leaders and experts, a full slate of expo booths, and—the crown jewel of the VISION event—night drive demonstrations with at least 30 cars equipped with the latest technologies.
Expect interesting lectures and active participation by automakers including Audi, BMW, PSA, and Renault; lighting suppliers such as AL, Hella, Koito, Valeo, ZKW, Lumileds, Osram, and Texas Instruments; ADAS suppliers like Bosch, Continental, Infineon, and Safer Research; and universities including ELS, Fraunfofer IOF, the Lighting Research Center, and L-Lab. Renowned speakers including Rainer Neumann, Paul-Henri Matha, Benoist Reiss, Christofer Bremer, Ernst-Olaf Rosenhahn, Pierre Albou, John Bullough, and many other fine VIPs will be there, describing how they’re doing what they do best: constantly strive for ever-better seeing for humans and cars alike.
