This week we bring you a special report for DVN from GTB President Geoff Draper detailing the activities underway in GTB and in the GRE group responsible for working to simplify the UN Regulations on lighting. Since his last report four months ago Draper—who is nominally retired—has continued his remarkably fine work at a pace that challenges most definitions of retirement. Says Draper (and we agree with him): “The foundations for success are now in place and it is our job to ensure that together we will succeed”. Just look at the list of the works he has managed and planned since this past June; you’ll find it in this week’s in-depth report.
In other news: today the DVN Report goes live on the lighting and auto-drive technology on cars at the 2017 IAA Frankfurt Motor Show. In it, you will see 172 clear, sharp photos and descriptive text of the pertinent details on all the latest car launches and concepts, as well as the unusual number of technology suppliers who exhibited, many for the first time. There’s a dynamic IAA slide show running now on the homepage at www.drivingvisionnews.com , as well. And we’re busily at work on the DVN Report on ISAL, and laying the groundwork for a fantastic DVN Workshop in Munich this coming January.
Sincerely yours
DVN President
