The DVN US Workshop was a grand success: over 270 participants representing 70 entities attended the day-and-half conference, visited the 25 exhibition booths (with a high percentage of new first-time exhibitors), and networked during cocktail, dinner, lunch, and break times. We are very grateful to the 100 participants who answered our short survey about the events.
Much of the feedback was overwhelming positive; the workshop was called “great”, “very informative”, “satisfying”, and “well organised”. We also received thoughtful, constructive suggestions to help us make future Workshops even better. Respondents suggested we should:
- Seek a better location, maybe not so far out of the way as Rochester;
- Have a keynote address;
- Improve the lecture provisions (sound, videos, audience microphones, etc);
- Introduce the speakers in more detail and enforce lecture time limits more strictly;
- Avoid too much overlap in lecture themes (IIHS got much coverage this year), and
- Provide more time for Q&A sessions.
These are all good ideas. There were also requests for changes to the food and drinks provided at meals and breaks, and suggestions for the format of the name badges. We greatly appreciate all of the feedback.
We hear what you’re asking for, we’re still listening, too, so please share your thoughts with us!
We’re working to provide more of it starting with the forthcoming Shanghai Workshop to take place at the Shanghai Marriott Hotel Parkview. The theme of this third DVN Shanghai workshop « Lighting Innovations focused on Styling, Standardization, Safety » is tailored to the Chinese market and will attract close to 400 participants, among whom representatives from all the important domestic car makers.
Sincerely yours,
