During my visit at Stanley I saw numerous advanced development projects concerning ADB, OLED, laser, and also process developments such as microcut technology able to achieve a perfect homogeneity. This week we present two reports about major Japanese vehicle lighting supplier Stanley. There’s an in-depth interview with Innovation and Technical Marketing Manager Koji Shimoda, and a presentation of the company’s systems in production and in development. Reading these two reports will better acquaint you this company which is strongly present in Asia and America—less so in Europe—who produce their own LEDs and achieve, mainly with Honda cars, innovative rear and front lamps.
We’re moving along briskly toward next Autumn’s VISION Congress, which this year is being held at a new venue. Make your arrangements and reservations early; see details in this week’s news.
And last week’s news about Ford’s no-lights autonomous-drive tests in the dark garnered several pieces of feedback. Ford have posted a video well worth watching;
Not convincing to have soon such autonomous system.
Sincerely yours
