For the engineers and experts who could not attend ISAL 2013, or for the attendees who did not catch all the information, we are pleased to release our illustrated Driving Vision News report summarising significant topics from this lighting congress.
In around 100 pages, we explain, evaluate, and comment on more than half the lectures presented at this congress. Topics include:
• LED , now the technology of today, not just tomorrow;
• ADB (Adaptive Driving Beam or Glare Free High Beam) with several lectures emphasising the great potential in the future;
• Laser technology, not known 2 years ago, becoming a reality even if the cost is still very high and all the validations are not finished;
• Sequential turn indicators as on the Audi’s A8 show the way for a new styling and safety(?) trend;
• OLED technology with 3 interesting lectures considering production stage in 2016/2017.
This year’s ISAL report brings you capsule interviews with presenters—you get exclusive information about their knowledge on their cutting edge technology. I thank all these experts who accepted to share their knowledge with DVN Gold members.
The report closes with pictures of the lighting community gathering around 700 people during 2 days, talking about automotive lighting, and an interview with Prof. Khanh, President of the ISAL congress. Head to the Reports section of DrivingVisionNews.com and give it a look!
Another innovation: we’ve asked to each ISAL Steering Committee members to select their 3 best lectures considering the content, the innovative aspect, and the quality of the presentation. The top three picks will be announced next week.The awards on ISAL 2013, VISION 2012, Shanghai 2013 and Detroit 2013 will be given at the next DVN workshop, first quarter of 2014. Stay tuned!
Sincerely yours
