Naoya Fujimoto, Nissan’s General Manager of Exterior/Interior Engineering will open the workshop followed by Wolfgang Huhn from Audi and Uwe Kostanzer from Daimler, both heads of their respective lighting department.
Then Gert Hildebrand, head of design at Qoros and Guo Yansong from Great Wall will close the OEM lectures.
Indeed this first session when car makers will present their vision on lighting will be interesting and very fruitful for the attendees.
Light sources, Xenon, LED, OLED session
At a time where light source technologies are progressing so fast, the second session will be equally attractive. Opening the session, Zheng Zhijun from Shanghai VW will present the application of D5S 25W Xenon, followed by the Philips BG Automotive John Peek on OLED, and by Thomas Reiners, the Senior director of application engineering at Osram . The Chinese manager of Philips’ application Lab will close the session.
Regulations session
Something already experienced in our US workshop, but never done in China will be a panel session, chaired by Geoff Draper, GTB President, bringing together representatives of organisations including the Chinese government, the GTB, the JASIC, the SMVI ( Shanghai Motor Vehicle Inspection Center), the CATARC, the CAMM (Chinese Car Industry) and ACEA (European Industry), the Chinese Tier 1 Suppliers, Chinese Test Laboratories, and Chinese road safety research organisations.
