Following these introductory events, seven presentations round out the rest of the morning’s docket.
First is a presentation by Audi General Manager of Lighting and Switches Wolfgang Huhn , who will elucidate the new styling possibilities available to designers and the biggest consequences on styling of last decades.
Then AL R&D Vice President Kamislav Fadel follows with the promising subject of energy consumption and a look at the question of when energy savings will become a pivotal driver in automotive lighting.
Next is Ichikoh Research Manager Olivier Barthomeuf , presenting a Bi-LED standard module and initiating what promises to be an interesting discussion on standardisation.
Then Koito’s Deputy General Manager Masaru Sasaki , very well known in Europe, will present approaches to make LED headlamps affordable—surely a very apposite subject with today’s high LED headlamp prices.
Styling trends can best be known by scrutinising auto shows; Valeo Lighting Systems’ Marketing Director Benoist Fleury will present his assessment of what he’s seen at the last 5 auto shows Frankfort, Tokyo, Detroit, Geneva, and Beijing.
