DVN are proud to publish this week our report on the state of the art, science, technology, and technique in LED automotive front lighting. You’ll want to keep it close at hand, because in it you will find answers to today’s round of questions and issues regarding the application of LEDs for headlamps and other forward illumination systems. A printed-up version of this report will be delivered to each attendee of the US DVN workshop coming up soon on 10 January in Rochester, near Detroit, Michigan.
Why do we release this report now? Because, as the report says, expected global HB LED sales are estimated at $5 billion in 2010 with an expected growth to more than $10 billion in 2015 thanks to 3 benefits: styling differentiation, energy savings, and safety.
The automotive lighting market is still a small part of it but will benefit from the aggressive and bullish approach of global suppliers which view this market as an attractive and fast growing volume market opportunity.
In 100 pages and 200 illustrations, DVN give you a broad, deep view of LED headlighting from every relevant angle: their design, construction, and performance; the lighting players and their LED headlamps already in production; cars and lights showing the newest LED implementational concepts…it’s all there. The most interesting concept cars and concept headlamps are presented and give an idea about what LED headlamps will be in the years 2015-2020. Give it a look! And if you’re not yet a DVN Gold member, give it another think as you plan your budget for the new year. We’re confident it’s well worthwhile.
All of us at DVN again wish you and your family a great new year and we thank you for your constant and renewed trust in driving Vision News.
Sincerely yours
DVN General editor
