Jean-Paul Charret will leave his function at the head of R&D at Valeo Lighting Systems in less than one week. Laurent Evrard will replace him.
Jean-Paul will leave lighting, much to the loss of our community!
It is probably very good news for him, and will allow him to spend more time with his family. But it is also bad news for the lighting community which loses an expert with more than 16 years’ experience in lighting.
The people who know Jean-Paul and worked with him, sent me a few words about Jean-Paul. You can find them in the next paper. All regret saying farewell to an experimented director who has made so many achievements for Valeo and who is welknown for his human approach.
From my side, I consider that many innovations have been launched during these last 5 years thanks Jean-Paul: Motorway TriXenon, NEO, the 3 versions of Beamatic, and so on. I will have on mind the very professional lecture presented at DVN workshop a few days ago. Thank you Jean-Paul and Good luck…
…but the lighting community still needs you and hopes to see you continuing to work in lighting.
We wish to Laurent Evrard all good success in his challenge to succeed Jean-Paul.
Sincerely yours
