Last week, DVN General Editor Daniel Stern, one of the North America’s greatest lighting experts, explained in our In-Depth department how vertical aim is a primary determinant of headlamp safety performance.
Also l ast week, thanks to the great job of Geoff Draper and his team added to Marcin Gorzkowski’s diplomatic skills, GRE adopted Xenon 25W regulation without leveling, on the condition that GTB will lead a new fundamental study of glare and visibility and the implications for auto-levelling systems— see our detailed coverage in this week’s newsletter.
This week, Pr Khanh from Darmstadt explains how the forthcoming innovative lighting systems can work only when the questions raised by headlamp leveling are solved satisfactorily. He proposes to launch a study on the influence of automatic static and dynamic leveling on safety.
Lighting suppliers are spending a lot of money to develop the new lighting technologies with the big success we know. But it is now urgent to know the real influence of automatic levelling devices on safety in order to help regulation organizations and car makers to take the good decisions.
DVN is totally involved on it and is ready to put all their resources and their knowledge to help such a study.
Let’s get to it!
