Tokyo-based Ichikoh have announced plans for a US$40m facility in China, which will mainly manufacture metal moulds for auto parts.
The plant, which is slated to open by 2010, will supply major automakers including France’s Valeo.
Ichikoh provide lamps, lights, bulbs, wipers, mirrors, and other components primarily to Toyota.
Valeo are Ichikoh’s largest shareholder, with a 32% stake.
