Hella have inaugurated their first electronics plant in Mexico at San José Iturbide. The plant will make pedal sensors and vacuum and washer pumps for the company’s Asian and North American automotive customers.
The facility covers 25 550 square metres and will employ more than 100 people. An annual production capacity of about six million pedal sensors is expected.
Hella believe this electronics plant will play a major role in their strategy to manufacture products close to their customers’ facilities, and consider Mexico an important manufacturing centre for automakers in North, Central, and South America.
