The new Opel Insignia, to be unveiled on the 22nd of July at the London Motor show, will carry the latest generation of fully-adaptive front lighting (AFS) systems. Nine separate light distributions will provide lighting performance dynamically tailored to match changing driving conditions. The DRL function is realised with LEDs, by which Opel claim the Insignia will emit 6 fewer grams of CO2 per kilometre compared with an ordinary filament-lamp DRL system..
