The new Toyota Crown did never really catch on in Europe, but was a hit in Japan and the love, particularly, of taxi drivers. The new and 13th generation is being unveiled now. The vehicle exhibits the new features you can expect on Toyota vehicles in future. An eye-lid sensor watches over the wakefulness of the driver by checking the pattern of blinking. The information from the onboard navigation system now takes direct influence over the car. On the acceleration strip of motorways the vehicle automatically picks up speed and reduces it again at toll stations. How the automatic acceleration is handles remains a secret with Toyota. Traffic lights and stop signs are being called out by the navigation system and result in a tightening of the braking system. Whether the navigation system calculates the CO2 optimal route is also still a secret with the car manufacturer. The vehicle will also offer a night-vision system. How the night-vision assistant reveals the picture to the driver has not been revealed yet.
