In response to a call for papers launched worldwide, the VISION congress Organization Committee received more than 70 abstracts from experts in accident research and human factors, lighting systems, and detection systems.
Abstracts came in from automakers, suppliers, universities, and research labs.
A meeting of the scientific committee gathering most of the experts in these fields will be held on April 22 to select the 32 best abstracts; to lighting. Selection process will be based on 4 criteria: relevance to safety, strength of scientific content, potential for commercialisation, and innovative aspects.
The VISION congress will take place at Satory, close to Versailles and Paris (France) on the 7th and 8th of October 2008, with a night drive test of around 20 demonstration cars.
Report on this congress will be available at www.drivingvisionnews.com from October 21, 2008.
