A series of accidents where pedestrians collided with trams has led to sufficient agitation in Berlin. A recent death of a 19 year old youth is now beginning to change public opinion, such that the town is considering a mandatory ‘lights on’ during the day as well as increased ‘pedestrian protection’ for the front of the trams.
