Sales of passenger cars in Eastern and Western Europe increased from 15.78 million in 2006 to 15.96 million vehicles in 2007.
Sales in Eastern Europe jumped 14.5% in 2007.
But the Western Europe grew only 0.2%.
Sales fell 9% in Germany, 1% in Spain and grew 3% in France and 2.5% in UK Renault lost 4% and VW lost 1%.
BMW and Fiat gain 7% and Toyota, Ford and GM gain 2%.
