Great Wall Motor has opened orders for their new top-of-the-line Wey V9X. It brings a full suite of in-house-developed intelligent technologies and a luxury cockpit experience. Central to that experience: is a 17.3-inch dual display system as standard equipment; Refond Optoelectronics provides customized miniLED backlight technology to ensure outstanding display performance.
Built on the Guiyuan S Platform, the Wey V9X features what Great Wall calls the industry’s first native AI intelligent agent cockpit. It has dual 17.3-inch cinematic-grade miniLED wide-color-gamut displays, using Refond’s QD miniLED COB blue backlighting.

The displays feature ultrahigh-definition 3K resolution, flicker-free certification, and TÜV Rheinland-certified hardware-level low blue light.

To support the dual-screen design, Refond’s solution has an ultrathin, low-OD architecture combined with Refond’s proprietary uniform light distribution structural design.
This enables slimmer display structure and more compact module design, with reduced LED count. Combined with ultra-narrow bezels and the large panel size, the system offers thousands of local dimming zones and a millions-level ultrahigh contrast ratio. Quantum-dot film technology expands the display’s color gamut. All of this enhances image depth, minimizes halo effects, and reduces display power consumption.
Specifically, the system achieves DCI-P3 wide color gamut coverage, enabling accurate color reproduction and image rendering. Even under intense sunlight, the display remains vivid and clear.

This high display performance provides robust hardware support for clear, dynamic, smooth presentation of multidimensional intelligent driving information. That, in turn, facilitates the integration of cockpit and driving intelligence.
