ISAL 2015 is encouraging the exchange between lighting engineers, road safety experts and regulatory bodies.
As this issue of DVN goes live, the most recent research findings, developents, innovations, and ideas are being presented to continue the established traditions of this conference and to promote a bright future for automotive lighting.
Dr. Wolfgang Huhn, Audi’s head of lighting development, says ISAL “is an important forum for Audi to put lighting technology into the spotlight. Our customers will benefit from the results of these discussions among professionals; technical progress and larger production volumes give us the opportunity to offer customers excellent lighting technology, at an attractive cost-benefit ratio. Our lighting developers work closely together with designers. On a team, they create a perfect harmony in the car design, as well as a coherent appearance of the lighting technology and its visual illumination. The driver also benefits from this coherent look.”
Since the appointment of Prof. Tran Quoc Khanh in October 2006, the Laboratory for Lighting Technology has gained more renown in the field of road lighting. Many of its studies in the field of automotive lighting have been conducted and published in relevant media.
