We at Driving Vision News are working hard to bring together a successful workshop next month with a meet-and-greet soirée as well.
In the morning, after a keynote from Jim Johnson, CEO of Valeo Sylvania and a second one about the lighting events in H2-2012, we will have a docket of lectures presented by the best worldwide experts of each technology. We’re putting special focus on laser-based headlamps, LEDs and OLEDs for front and rear lights, vision sensors and image processing, novel vision systems, simulation tools as well as current international harmonisation activities related to lighting regulation.
In the afternoon, 2 podium panels will be held.
One on the current international harmonisation activities related to lighting regulation and technical requirements. The main regulators in Europe, Canada and US will be present and will have a great discussion on regulations with a continuation of the last podium panel in Rochester. The intent is toward a comprehensive overview of the UN, US, and Canadian regulatory philosophies.
The second podium panel will be on simulations, one of the main topics to solve the increasing engineering workload and the need of quality in the projects. The podium panel will be led by Professor Alexander Von Hoffmann, one of the greatest experts in simulation.
After the podium panels, 5 round-table discussions will be held in separate rooms about the main questions in lighting. Experts will lead these 5 round tables.
