PARIS (Reuters) — French carmaker PSA/Peugeot-Citroen said today December 27, 2007 it had selected Kaluga, 180km southwest of Moscow, for its Russian plant.
Nizhny Novgorod, which lies some 400km east of Moscow, was another site that had been considered.
PSA said it planned to sell 100,000 cars in Russia by 2010 and 300,000 in the medium term.
Late last month VW also opened its first Russian car plant in Kaluga.
