Traditional engineering sciences like mechanics, thermics, chemistry, electronics, and so on now must be augmented by expertise and experience in software, artificial intelligence, human factors, design, and suchlike.
It’s altogether too wide a field for a single person to master, so engineers of the future need to be trained for all these new topics, and their ability to work as a team is more crucial than ever before—reflecting the electronic “teamwork” they’re building into whole new kinds of vehicle interiors.
