Isabelle Marchand informed me last week on her new assignment.
On the 13 th of September 2010, she will leave her function at the head of Renault lighting/wiping engineering to take a new assignment with the Renault Team in charge of business simplification in the Company Organization,.
We will have in mind her contribution at DVN workshop in May 2010, on the importance to better consider the needs of the end-users including low cost cars and emergent countries.
So Isabelle will leave the lighting community. It is very good news for her, with a lot of opportunities for new challenges and all of us are happy to see one of our colleagues trying to build simpler and more efficient organizations
Pascal Moulinier left lighting 4 years ago, we are seeing now Isabelle doing the same. Four years rotations seems to be the rule for top management at Renault. In our personal opinion and in comparison with German or Japanese companies, we consider it rather short given the complexity of automotive lighting. Mathieu Lips will replace her as the new lighting/wiping engineering manager at Renault. He has been working in the electronic department of Renault Samsung Motors in South-Korea. I am sure his electronic skills will be very useful for his new job.
We present him all our wishes of success. Welcome in the Lighting community. Driving Vision News hope that DVN newsletters and reports will be help him to be quickly involved in lighting technologies.
Sincerely yours,
