Jean-Christophe Quemard will take Collin’s job as PSA’s head of purchasing.
The new organization will take effect on January 1.
A former government official Saint-Geours joined Peugeot parent PSA/Peugeot-Citroen in 1986.
Saint-Geours presided over a big expansion in Peugeot’s production and model range.
He also implemented the successful “daisy” strategy, which increased the number of variants Peugeot offers of popular models
For instance Peugeot added station wagon and coupe-cabriolet variants to the hatchback versions of the 206 small car, its successor, the 207, and the 307 lower-medium.
Peugeot also has been entering new segments. It launched the 1007 small minivan in 2005 and brand’s first SUV, the Peugeot 4007.
Saint-Geours also led a change in style, with the help of chief designer Gerard Welter, making Peugeot cars more attractive than their robust, no-nonsense predecessors.
