Visteon Corporation has introduced its first automotive integrated navigation systems for Chinese market. The device is developed by the company technical centre in China, Visteon China Technical Centre.
It is debuting on two models by the Chang’An Ford Mazda Automobile (CFMA) ? Mondeo Zhi Sheng Ghia Hi and Mondeo Zhi Sheng Ghia D.
The navigation systems are based on an existing radio and DVD platform. It also features advanced HMI. The company has developed the navigation systems in the relatively short time period of 11 months, compared with traditional development cycle of 18 to 24 months.
The navigation system uses Chinese language for voice guidance and has options of female/male voice. In addition, the device has better routing options which enable driver to input multiple destinations and routes including blocking certain areas in the city.
