A new Working Group, IIWG, has been created in the European eSafety Forum.
The first meeting will be on September 18, 2008 at Brussels. The IIWG has the objectives to identify the expectations towards intelligent infrastructure and achieving a balance between the goals of the road operators and administrations, and the industry.
Intelligent Infrastructure includes cooperation and communication among systems – covering infrastructure, vehicle and more generally user systems such as nomadic devices.

The IIWG will identify issues which need to be solved at the infrastructure level, in order to ensure the implementation of the most relevant cooperative services on the road infrastructure side.
The IIWG will also aims to develop detailed recommendations concerning the deployment of intelligent infrastructure in Europe in the near future.
