Ford Motor last week named Stephen Odell president and CEO of Volvo Car.
Odell, 53, is currently Ford of Europe’s chief operating officer.

Within Volvo, he succeeds Fredrik Arp, who is leaving the company.
From 1 October, Odell will be responsible for Volvo’s global operations at headquarters in Gothenburg.
Odell, who played a key role as Chief Operating Officer in Ford of Europe’s resurgence, will report to Lewis Booth, executive vice president of Ford Motor Company and chairman of Volvo Car Corporation, who will continue to oversee strategic direction.
