Japan’s Mitsubishi and France’s PSA/Peugeot-Citroen said that they would set up a joint venture in Russia to produce cars for the three brands starting in 2011.
The factory in Kaluga, 180 km from Moscow, will produce mid-range SUVs for the Mitsubishi, Peugeot and Citroen brands, with an overall capacity of 160,000 vehicles.
Building work on the plant will start in June, with car production due to begin in early 2011.
