Pierre-Yves Lesaicherre

Pierre-Yves Lesaicherre holds a PhD in Physics from the National Polytechnic Institute of Grenoble, France, as well as an MBA from INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France. He currently hold the position of CEO at Lumileds, supplying high-quality LED components to the downstream segments of the lighting and consumer industries as well as LED and conventional lamps to the automotive industry.
Prior to his current role, Pierre-Yves served as CEO of Philips Lumileds, a business group of Royal Philips, which he joined in January 2012. Before joining Philips Lumileds, he was the Senior Vice President & General Manager of the Microcontrollers and Logic Business Lines at NXP, starting as General Manager of several business lines and product lines, including Standard ICs, Interface Products, Specialty Logic and PC Motherboard ICs. And prior to NXP, he served as Process Technology Development Manager for NEC in Japan, where he helped develop what was considered the most advanced memory technology in 1994, the first gigabit DRAM capacitor.
