Sapphire Technical Solutions, LLC (STS)
STS designs and produces cutting edge hardware and software that measures various lighting applications within the aerospace, automotive and commercial lighting industries.STS houses an IEC/ISO‑17025 accredited lab covering both calibration and third‑party testing/attestation in the optical radiation field, and several physical and environmental parameters.
The lab supports: FMVSS108 / CMVSS108 testing, SAE standards, UN‑ECE Type Approval, FAA / ICAO aviation lighting compliance. Additionally, STS holds a contract for NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) for FMVSS 108 testing, providing federal‑level photometric testing support in the United States.
STS plays an active role in shaping lighting‑industry standards, holding positions and memberships in: SAE boards and committees (including GTB, GRE, TSEI, and others)
This gives STS influence in the development and modernization of photometric testing regulations.
