The 41st DVN (Shanghai) Automotive Lighting Seminar and the 12th DVN Automotive Interior Cockpit Seminar were held from September 8 to 9 at the 1353 Binjiang Conference Center in Huangpu District, Shanghai.

This year, DVN teams selected as main theme “Vehicle Lighting Experience—Technology, Innovation, Safety, and Design.” Lighting is no longer a component, it is part of the overall vehicle experience. Welcome light, living room experience in the cabin, interaction with other road users including lights as a communication tool; this is what lighting looks like.

The two-day conference and exhibition attracted over 600 participants, including decision-makers from domestic and international OEMs, Tier 1/Tier 2 suppliers, university and research institutions, lighting experts, R&D personnel, and designers, who jointly explored future trends in automotive lighting.

This seminar attracted participation from many mainstream domestic and international automakers, including SAIC, BAIC, Audi, Hyundai, Geely, FAW, Ford, General Motors, BMW, BYD, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, SAIC Volkswagen, Zeekr, Great Wall, Pan-Asia, Renault, Chery QQ, Dongfeng Shanghai Design Center, Chery Exeed, Hongqi Shanghai Styling Center, Xiaomi, Nissan, NIO, Jaguar Land Rover, Dongfeng Nissan, Chery, FAW-Volkswagen, XPeng, Honda, Avatr, Changan, Volkswagen, Tesla, Leapmotor, SAIC-GM, FAW and more than 40 other OEMs and design centers.

Even if regulators just banned ADS Turquoise light, regulators are discussing with lighting experts from OEM, tier1 and tier2 to defines the right conditions for an ADS Turquoise light and will include also Interactive Signaling Display into the regulation. It would be for front/rear position lamps and ADS marker lamps, only operating when ADS active. It could content: Graphic symbols, Chinese characters, English letters, Arabic numerals, punctuation and combinations. However, users should not be allowed to add or modify content.
